Bedrock Clinic: Branding Photography for a Women’s Health + Wellness Practice
When Bedrock Clinic approached me for a new collection of brand photography, the brief was about much more than updating professional headshots. Bedrock Clinic is a women’s health, relationships and wellbeing practice offering online and in-person therapy for couples and individuals, with a focus on relationships, sex and holistic wellness. Their beautiful Sydney space is warm, considered and welcoming — and the photography needed to communicate that same feeling. For a practice like Bedrock Clinic, where connection, trust and feeling comfortable are such an important part of the client experience, it was important that the images felt natural, warm and human.
Branding photography for Bedrock Clinic
We created a collection of images that could be used across the Bedrock Clinic website, social media, marketing and future communications.
The shoot included:
- Individual professional headshots for each practitioner
- Natural working portraits
- Images of the team together
- Candid interactions and moments between practitioners
- Interior photography of the clinic
- Details and smaller visual elements within the space
- Lifestyle imagery that captures the feeling of the practice
Rather than creating a series of overly posed corporate portraits, I wanted the images to feel approachable and genuine — giving potential clients a sense of the people behind the practice before they even walk through the door.
Creating connection through personal branding photography
For psychologists, therapists, sexologists and other health and wellness practitioners, professional photography can play an important role in creating that first sense of connection.
People are often choosing a practitioner at a particularly personal or vulnerable point in their lives. Seeing a warm, authentic photograph of the person they may be working with can make the process of reaching out feel a little easier.
That is why I love creating personal branding photography for women working in health, psychology, wellness and other people-focused businesses.
The aim isn't to make you look like a corporate executive.
It's to create photographs that look and feel like you — confident and professional, but still warm, approachable and human.
Photographing the space
Alongside the people, we photographed the Bedrock Clinic interiors and details.
Interior photography is an important part of a branding shoot for a physical practice because the environment is part of the brand too.
The textures, colours, furniture, artwork and smaller details all contribute to how a potential client experiences a business. Photographing these elements gives a brand a library of images that can be used alongside portraits and headshots, creating much more variety across a website and social media.
For a clinic or wellness practice, the space can also help communicate something that a headshot alone can't — what it might actually feel like to be there.
A complete image library for a growing practice
One of my favourite things about branding photography is creating a collection rather than simply a handful of photographs.
For Bedrock Clinic, we created different types of imagery that can work together across their website, practitioner profiles, social media, publications and marketing.
There are polished portraits for professional profiles, more relaxed working images for storytelling, team photographs for introducing the practice as a whole, and interior and detail photographs that help bring the physical space to life.
Having this variety means a business can continue to tell its story visually long after the photography session has finished.
Branding photography for health + wellness professionals in Sydney
I work with women, creative businesses and people-focused brands across Sydney to create natural, creative branding photography that feels personal rather than overly corporate.
This includes psychologists, therapists, wellness practitioners, health professionals, coaches, creatives and small business owners who want imagery that reflects both their professionalism and their personality.
If you're building a brand where trust, connection and people are at the heart of what you do, your photography should reflect that.
