Please arrive at 8:45 and change into your gown ready to begin.
The Body Project
9am - 12:30pm
A 3 hour immersive morning, surrounded by like minded women in a small group of 12, engaging in facilitated discussion around your experience with your body, by Body Image Specialist + Arts Psychotherapist Lana Sussman
- Morning Tea provided
- Individual private nude photography session with Martine
- Opportunity to take part in group photo
Afterwards you will receive:
- 10 individual digital images of yourself
- Digital group image if involved
Day's Timing
8:45am Come upstairs to studio, arrive and change into gown
9:00am Intros
9:30 Individual portraits begin until 11:30
Lana will be running her activities and discussions throughout
11:30 3 x Group Photos (Optional)
12:00 Final wrap up discussion for the day.
12:30 Concludes
FAQ
Is there parking nearby?
There is lots of all day parking around back streets of Darlinghurst, but it is also just a bridge away from back streets of Paddington (near St Vincents Hospital) where parking should be available for weekends.
How will individual portraits work?
You will wear your robe until you are in position and then toss it aside. You may use it to put on between positions if you prefer as well. We aim to have no faces or vaginas shown. Some women were happy to have their faces shown on the day, so please just let me know during your session your preference.
Below is some ideas for poses. You can be sitting, kneeling, lying, standing, or using a chair. Happy to be guided by you or also take the lead for those who would like guidance.
How will group portraits work?
This is optional and you can decide on the day! You will wear your robe until you are in position and then can toss it aside – no faces or vaginas will be shown. These will be abstract and will involve things like :double exposure (2 images over laid )and motion blur to make them more abstract. Here is an example. Here are some examples from last time below.
