FAQs
What to bring?
Just a gown (or similar) and an open heart and mind :)
What's the deal with coffee?
There are cafes near by so feel free to grab one before! Otherwise I will be providing plunger coffee and tea throughout the morning.
Is there parking nearby?
Yes! There should be plenty of parking all around the back streets of the studio.
How will individual portraits work?
You will wear your robe until you are in position and then toss it aside. You may use it to put on between positions if you prefer as well.
Below is some ideas for poses. You can be sitting, kneeling, lying, standing, or using a chair. Happy to be guided by you or also take the lead for those who would like guidance.
How will group portraits work?
This is optional and you can decide on the day! You will wear your robe until you are in position and then can toss it aside – the aim is to avoid identity in these. These will be abstract and will involve things like : double exposure (2 images over laid )and motion blur to make them more abstract.
What body parts are shown or hidden?
My preference to to just shoot freely not avoiding certain body parts and then later we can decide which ones you like etc. If there are certain parts you particularly want to include or exclude please let me know.
How are the images shared and how much say do I have?
I know this is the biggest one for most people because of course you are at your most vulnerable. I would never want you to feel less free in your session thinking about this, and rather you create the most beautiful images you can and feel the most free to do so. When I deliver your gallery I will likely make a folder of my favourites I would request permission to share on socials and you will have final say on what is potentially made public or not.
