Meet Jess — talented artist, illustrator, art teacher and dear friend. 🤎

Jess chose to celebrate the big 4.1 with an intimate personal branding session in her beautiful Central Coast home studio, and I honestly couldn’t think of a better way to mark a new chapter.


Jess came into my life only 18 months ago through our mutual love of the diverse female form, and our shared belief in encouraging women to feel empowered, confident and amazing through art. And I’m so bloody glad she did.

I absolutely love photographing creative women in their own spaces. There’s something really special about being able to capture not just what someone does, but who they are within their work.


For Jess, that meant photographing her surrounded by the things that make her world — her artwork, materials, sketches, paint, books and the beautiful, slightly messy reality of a working artist's studio.

We captured a mix of portraits, working images and details, allowing the photographs to tell a much bigger story than a traditional headshot ever could.


Because personal branding photography for creatives doesn't need to feel overly polished or corporate.

In fact, I think the opposite is often much more powerful.

Your personality, your process, your space, the little details and the things you're passionate about are all part of your brand. They're what make you memorable.


For artists, illustrators, designers, makers, teachers and other creative business owners, these photographs can become a visual library to use across your website, social media, media features, workshops, marketing and wherever else your business shows up in the world.

And while this session was partly about Jess's work, it was also about celebrating Jess — the woman, the artist, the teacher and the person behind it all.
