Project: Sir David Martin Foundation Campaign, Sydney
Client: Sir David Martin Foundation
Industry: Not-for-Profit
Service: Campaign Photography
Powerful campaign photography has the ability to tell a story before a single word is read.
I recently worked with the Sir David Martin Foundation to create a collection of campaign imagery supporting their work with young people experiencing addiction. The brief was to capture authentic, hopeful images that reflected the organisation's commitment to supporting young people and their families through recovery, while creating a versatile library of photography for use across marketing, fundraising, digital campaigns and community awareness.
Working alongside the foundation, we created imagery that felt genuine, compassionate and optimistic. Rather than relying on heavily staged photographs, my approach was to document real moments and natural interactions that reflected the humanity at the heart of the organisation's work.
For not-for-profit organisations, photography plays an important role in communicating purpose and building trust. Whether used for fundraising campaigns, annual reports, social media, websites or community engagement, authentic imagery helps people connect with an organisation's mission and the impact it has within the community.
My approach to campaign photography is always relaxed and unobtrusive, allowing real connections and genuine emotion to unfold naturally. Using available light wherever possible, I create images that feel honest, timeless and deeply human.
Whether I'm photographing a not-for-profit organisation, charity, health service, community initiative or purpose-driven business, my goal is always the same—to create meaningful imagery that tells the story behind the people and the work they do.
If you're looking for campaign photography for a charity, not-for-profit or community organisation in Sydney, I'd love to hear about your next project.
